Blair Nixon is a partner with Felesky Flynn LLP. He has been tax counsel to a number of corporations directly involved in the exploration and exploitation of natural resources, to a number of corporations providing goods and services to the natural resource section of the economy, to a variety of corporations across Canada in a variety of activities not related to the resource industry, and to a number of First Nations groups including an umbrella organization negotiating outstanding land claims. He has also been an advisor to the Joint Taxation Committee of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Canadian Bar Association, and to the Department of Finance, the Department of Justice, and the Department of National Revenue on tax matters, policy, and legislative initiatives.
