Nigel S. Wright - Director
Mr. Wright is a Managing Director of Onex Corporation, one of Canada’s largest companies. Prior to joining Onex in 1997, Mr. Wright was a partner at the Toronto law firm of Davies, Ward & Beck, where he had worked in the M&A, securities, and finance area for eight years. Mr. Wright has also spent three years in the policy and speechwriting unit of Canada’s Prime Minister’s Office, working principally in economic and fiscal policy and political strategy.
Mr. Wright’s public company board experience includes Spirit AeroSystems, Hawker Beechcraft Corporation, ResCare, Inc., and Indigo Books and Music, Inc. He is also a trustee of the International Association of Machinists National Pension Fund.
Mr. Wright’s charitable involvement includes 12 years as a volunteer and six years as Chair of Camp Oochigeas, an organization serving children with cancer through summer and all-season camp experiences and a variety of inner city and in-hospital services. He is also involved with LOFT Community Housing, a supportive housing charity, Out of the Cold, a meals program, and is a trustee of the Aurea Foundation and the MasterCard Foundation.
