Thompson MacDonald became the chairman of the Board of Directors for ENMAX Corporation on October 15, 2003. Mr. MacDonald has owned and operated a communications consulting firm since 1988. He is also the chair of the boards of Walton International, MCD Diagnostics, and Vanguard Exploration Ltd. He was a director on the board of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) from 1993 to 1999, and chairman of the CBC Pension Fund from 1997 to 1999.

Prior, thereto, Mr. MacDonald worked for more than 25 years in broadcast journalism at CFCN Television, working in numerous positions including vice-president, news and public affairs.
