2018 Summer Internship
Are you passionate about Canada’s conservative movement and want to develop crucial skills and networks?
The Manning Centre’s annual Summer Internship Program is a fantastic opportunity to engage in training, research, and networking activities for students interested in improving their political and research skills.
Every year, we receive applications from students across Canada who want to spend their summers with the Manning Centre as part of a dynamic and experienced team.
Graduates of our internship program have gone on to make significant contributions in Canada’s conservative movement - working at advocacy organizations, think tanks, for political parties and businesses as well as being elected to public offices.
Their Manning Internship helped them connect with a strong network of leaders, and gave them practical experience which helped them advance their careers and serve the greater good.
The Manning Centre’s Summer 2018 internship program is looking for interns with a variety of skill sets and backgrounds, including:
Graphic design, video production, photography, and web development
Digital advertising and social media campaigns
Political campaigns and student activism
Public policy research, data collection, and analysis
Communications, media relations, public speaking, and event planning
More than any specific experience or skill set, the Manning Centre is looking for prospective interns who are passionate about political engagement and public policy, and about making a meaningful contribution to the Manning Centre’s ongoing work. Your passion, enthusiasm, and commitment are what we look for most in assessing your application and during your interview.
Manning Centre Summer internships are paid approximately $2,000 per month.
The internship program runs from Monday 30 April 2018 to Friday 31 August 2018. Interns are expected to be available for the entirety of this period, although exceptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis.
To apply for the program, please submit your resume and cover letter to email@example.com by Friday 9 March 2018.
