Shifting Gears: Safer Cycling in Calgary - Part 1 and 2
Calgary City Council has invested a significant amount of time and resources into developing a plan to get more Calgarians on their bicycles. Reports have been commissioned, staff hired, pathways constructed and bicycle counts taken. Now, Calgary City Council is about to consider the overall bicycling plan, with an eye to more infrastructure expansion and more resources dedicated to getting Calgarians on two wheels.
The Manning Foundation has released two reports that provides the deepest dive yet into the facts around bicycling in Calgary. Facts that should help inform the debate, inspire better public policy and challenge some beliefs about what Calgary really needs in terms of bicycling.
